Donating
If you are using DansGuardian because you were eligible for a free download, just think how much money it has saved you on IGear, Cyber Patrol, Net Nanny, and the others. IGear costs $thousands and requires a yearly subscription and gives you no freedom to alter the filtering to your exact needs. DansGuardian is free to a lot of people and is ultimately flexible.
How much is the saving worth to you? Perhaps you are just a satisfied home user or an IT centre for a school district who has saved a year's wages worth of money. Maybe you are simply someone who wants to help support Open Source development.
The cost of providing web hosting and bandwidth and hardware and my time is huge. Please help recoup the cost by donating.

Buying
There are some other methods of payment detailed on pricing page. To buy, simply click on the 'Buy Now' next to the required item.
You need to provide some extra detail when ordering so I can track who you are. I need to know your name and email address as a minimum and more if you require an invoice. When paying, use the PayPal Special Instructions text box to provide this information.
When purchasing, your bank may charge you an administration fee, for example to convert between different currencies. When withdrawing I will also be charged an administration fee of a few percent.
In order to legally minimise tax loss I use the services of a company in the UK called DrGuardian. They handle the invoicing, income tax and so on for me. This was previously handled by my last employer. The non-donations will go through that company's account. The company is not Value Added Tax registered so there is no VAT to pay within the EU.

Please note: If the 1000+ user 1 server license was bought on or before the 1st March 2002 then you actually have the Solution Provider license. If you bought a Solution Provider license between 2nd March 2002 and 1st August 2005 then you have been upgraded to Solution Distributor.
Commercial Support
If you require commercial support, you have two possibilities:
- (a) Purchase a commercial version of DansGuardian which comes with support such as SmoothGuardian. This is highly recommended software and is the only commercial software using DansGuardian technology that is officially endorsed. All other software using DansGuardian is not official. SmoothGuardian has resellers all over the world who will be able to talk to you in your timezone and bill you in your local currency.
- (b) Purchase support from a SmoothWall reseller in your area.
- (c) Purchase support from an IT consultant in your area. You are allowed to solicit for commercial support on the mailing list.
Refunds
It is required by PayPal that I detail the refund conditions. Currently no refunds will be given. You will have been able to determine if the software covers your needs before purchasing.
